We built the wishing well we wanted for our own wedding

We got married in October 2025. When it came to gifts, the options we found made generosity feel like a transaction. This is what we did about it.

Why we built it

Like a lot of couples, we already had the things people traditionally give. What we wanted was help with what came next.

So we shared a PayPal link with our guests. It worked, but it felt like settling an invoice rather than giving a gift.

Then we looked at the wishing well sites. They looked dated, they were awkward to set up, and adding a photo or making the page feel like ours was harder than it should have been.

The part that stayed with us was the fees. Our guests were already being generous, and a percentage came off the top, with no limit on how big it got.

So we built what we wanted.

What we believe

  • A gift should go towards what you are actually saving for, whatever that is.
  • Nobody should be penalised for being generous. Our fees are on the pricing page.
  • Cash gifts are paid into an account in your own name, never held by us.
  • Asking for a gift should feel normal and sound like you.

With A Bow is an Australian online wishing well and gift registry: cash funds, registry items and experiences, together on one page, shared by link or QR code. It started with weddings. Between us we have backgrounds in technology and event planning. We built the product together, and we answer your emails ourselves.

With A Bow is operated by Alice and Bear Holdings Pty Ltd, an Australian company.

Payments are processed by Stripe, and cash gifts are paid to the Australian bank account you connect.
